Eduardo Jamirez of San Joaquin works on a tractor for trimming tomato vines at Red Rocks Ranch in Fresno County. Red Rocks has invested heavily in water and labor saving infrastructure, such as the center pivot overhead irrigation system behind Jamirez. The system, one of the first of its kind in the State, will uniformly and automatically irrigate the tomatoes, reducing water loss from evaporation.
