Firebaugh, in the San Joaquin Valley, is facing 40% documented unemployment for lack of water. Felipe Perez (back right) is the leader of the Prometores, a community group which is working to provide food and raise money for the unemployed. Most evenings he works with his friend Ruperto Lara (Back left) and others in the community garden started by the promoteres to help feed the town. April 17, 2009.
